Chocolate Modak

Chocolate Modak Recipe For Kids: Ganesh Chaturthi Special

Kids really get excited about festivals. Festivals offer a great opportunity for them to connect and learn about our traditions and culture. And it is the best way to come closer as a family.

What better way to come closer than food? Kids love modak and chocolates. We have a recipe that covers both of these interests. Here is a recipe for chocolate modak which the kids will love to have on Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ingredients:-

Milk ½  Cup

Condensed Milk ⅓ cup

Milk or Dark Chocolate ¾ cup

Digestive Biscuit crumbs 1 cup

Pistachio or any nut chopped ¼ cup

Method

  1. Add milk and chocolate together in a bowl and heat it slowly so that the chocolate dissolves and make a nice runny paste. Stir regularly so that it does not burn.
  2. Add the biscuit crumbs to the chocolate mixture.
  3. Now add the pistachios into the mixture and mix well. The mixture will become a sticky dough. Keep it aside to cool down.
  4. Now grease your hands and the modak moulds with butter or ghee and use the moulds to give shape to the chocolate dough. You can serve right after!

The best part of this recipe is that it requires no heat or steaming process apart from the melting of the chocolate which you can also do in a microwave. Kids can easily take part in the preparation as they will love to give it shape. It will be like they are making clay figures.
