Everyone enjoys a cheesy and creamy mac and cheese. It just tops all our comfort food list. But did you know that you can prepare another version of mac and cheese which could be served with a dip or a pasta sauce or just as an appetizer?
This ultimate comfort food can have a lot of versions to become more perfect. Try this recipe of fried, crispy mac and cheese bombs that is perfect for winters. You only need a few ingredients to make this.
Ingredients:-
- 200 gms of Macaroni/Elbow pasta
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp of chili flakes
- ½ tsp of crushed pepper
- 1 tbsp of Oregano
- 100 gms of Mozzarella cheese
- 10 gms of coriander leaves
- 10 gms of Butter
- 1 tbsp of flour
- 1 cup of milk
- Bread crumbs to coat
- 2 eggs
- Plain flour to coat
- Oil to fry
Method:-

Boil the pasta in water and salt until fully cooked.

After draining the pasta water, take the cooked pasta in a large bowl and add salt chili flakes, pepper, oregano, grated cheese, and coriander leaves in it.

Take a pan and heat some butter in it. Add plain flour to it and cook for some time. Keep stirring until cooked. And add the milk to it. Cook this mixture until it becomes a thick sauce.

Now add this mixture to the pasta bowl and mix.

Form small balls and coat them with plain flour, egg, then bread crumbs.

Keep these balls lined up on a tray

Now heat the oil in a pan to deep fry the bombs.

Once the oil is hot, deep fry the mac and cheese bombs.
Serve it with a cheesy dip or ketchup. You can also add it to a pasta sauce and serve hot!
