A good nutritious diet for the kids is all that parents want. However, it gets tricky when in some cases the kids do not feel hungry ever. This means that your child’s appetite is low. 

Some parents try to solve this problem by forcefully feeding their kids. Here are some of the best tips to increase your child's appetite.

1. Drink Water 30 Minutes Before Any Meal

Offer them water 30 minutes before the meals. Water helps activate the enzymes and digestive juices in the stomach which then helps in digestion. 

2. Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal

Never skip their breakfast. Cultivate the habit of having breakfast daily. The first meal of the day breaks the fast from the night. It kickstarts the metabolism and it sets the whole food mood for the day. This is bound to increase their appetite.

3. Check The Iron And Zinc Level 

Lower levels of iron and zinc are also known for reducing the appetite of kids. Kids need at least 7 milligrams of iron per day. You can include foods like spinach, eggs, and milk in your daily diet. On the other hand, deficiency of zinc leads to appetite loss as well. Foods like mushrooms, spinach, and nuts are rich in zinc. 

4. Meals Every Two Hours

Encourage eating small meals at an interval of every two hours. As big meals sometimes do not help the child, small meals give them a habit of eating regularly. Hence, stimulating their hunger.

It is also important for the kids to burn their energy or calories in order to feel hungry again. So increase the playtime or include exercise in their daily routine for an increased appetite.
